Boğaziçi University Informatics Club COMPEC organized the ninth informatics awards program this year. As a result of public and jury voting, it has rewarded people and organizations operating in the informatics sector.
The event, which included companies from the industry, technological startups, game and application developers, and content producers, was sponsored by LC Waikiki.
The program was hosted by Melis İşiten and Murat Eken throughout the night. As a result of the voting, awards were given in 18 different categories, ranging from the ‘Celebrity Who Uses Social Media Most Effectively’ category to the ‘Best Software/Computer Science Community’ category.
A few of the recipients of the award were:
The Best Next Generation Finance Application, 'Papara’,
The Best Sustainable Technology Initiative, 'Farm Labs’,
The Best E-Commerce Site, 'Trendyol’,
The Best Grocery Service Application ‘Yemeksepeti Banabi’ and there were prizes awarded in other very worthy categories.
We were there to receive our award as BlindLook. We emphasized the importance of sustainability, inclusiveness, and accessibility.
As BlindLook, we are developing freedom technologies so that every visually impaired person can exist freely in life. It is very valuable for us to receive such a meaningful award as a social enterprise that emphasizes the importance of accessibility at every opportunity.
With the Boğaziçi Compact Award we received, we realized once again that we were in the right line. We would like to thank Boğaziçi University and Informatics Club for presenting us with such a special award. It is a great pride for us to win such a valuable award in this wonderful journey that we are on the way to becoming a global enterprise!
