How Do the Blind and Visually Impaired Take Care of Themselves?

Some makeup products made for women have raindrop reliefs on them. So what do you think this means for people? Is it created from the point of view of creating aesthetic pleasure from the outside, or are there other goals for it?

Personal care is a necessary and essential phenomenon for all people. We also use many auxiliary products when performing this maintenance. In particular, most individuals in society can perform their personal care with these products without difficulty within a short period of time. However, for blind and visually impaired people, things are not exactly as easy as they think.

Many of our everyday and personal needs, such as shaving, bathing, and applying makeup, can be a little challenging and complicated for them. For example, let's consider a man and a woman who have no problems with their eyesight. It is very difficult for a man to shave without a mirror, or for a woman to wear makeup without a mirror. However, it should be borne in mind that blind and visually impaired people cannot use the mirror and only feel it with their hands, satisfying their needs in this way. To give a little more explanation to our topic, we can say that blind and visually impaired male individuals shave by feeling with their fingers while shaving and using their fingers again to give shape. Women also use makeup materials in accordance with the information they have learned from explanatory videos and know in advance about the harmony of colors. In addition, they group their makeup materials so as not to mix them up again after learning the colors. The fact that all these ways of satisfying their needs are realized in different ways compared to other people in society should not mean that these things are disrupted and cannot be done correctly. Because the main thing is not how it was done, but why it was done.

Although the reliefs on the personal care products that we mentioned at the beginning of the article are pleasant for our eye taste and product marketing, they are also vital because they also allow blind and visually impaired people to get information about the product. Because they can distinguish the colors or characteristics of products by researching them on the Internet and then grouping them. It is also a problem that most personal care products do not contain Braille alphabet warnings in any way, or that the warnings found are also located at the bottom of the product, not on the covers or top areas. In general, it should be noted that blind and visually impaired people have more difficulty meeting their personal care needs than we do, and because of these difficulties, the materials they use should be suitable for their use. Considering that accessibility has become important and this phenomenon has become one of the two words of all individuals in society, we can say that today's world has a lot of steps to take.
